Ittehad Steel began in 1970 from steel trading in Rawalpindi. However, it was not until 1978 that Ittehad Steel began manufacturing steel in Islamabad with an incredible production capacity of 38,000 – 40,000 TPA.
They have grown incredibly and have kept up with the needs of the industry and the local market. Ittehad Steel now has a capacity of about 400,000 MTA with manufacturing plants located in Islamabad and Faisalabad.

Ittehad Steel is planning to increase its current capacity to 1,000,000 MTA by starting operations of a re-rolling mill on land spread over 49 acres in Faisalabad as well as setting up a power generation plant to meet the majority of their electrical needs for the manufacturing plants.
