Thatta Cement was established in 1980 as a public limited company and it was a subsidiary of the State Cement Corporation of Pakistan (Pvt.) Limited. Thatta Cement’s manufacturing facility was set up in 1982 the plant is based on dry process technology and initially had a total installed capacity of 1,000 tons per day of clinker.
The plant was made with supplies from Mitsubishi Corporation, Japan. Thatta Cement was listed on the Karachi Stock Exchange in 2008.
